Coaching at Mountain Raiders BMX
Mountain Raiders BMX – Coaching is available for riders of all levels, from beginners to experienced racers. Our coaching program helps riders of all ages and abilities learn the sport of BMX racing.
Coaches work with riders to help them improve their skills, achieve their goals, and have fun.
Riders progress through different levels as they master new skills.
Mountain Raiders BMX is open to anyone who wants to learn how to ride a bike better.
Club Night Racing
Mountain Raiders run club racing on Friday evenings through summer (Oct – April) at our track at Lloyd Elsmore Park.
Just before racing starts, the riders are sorted into their ability groups. Groups and names are called out for riders to move up to the start ramp ready for their races. We generally start from the youngest riders and work up to the older ones.
After which we start again with the youngest. We do this 3 times, so all riders get 3 races each. If there is time, a fourth “unofficial” moto will be run, but we aim to finish by 7.30 so that the little guys can get home to bed. The older ones can keep going a little longer if they wish.
Faster riders can optionally race above their own age group. Some of the experienced riders do this for increased competition to better prepare them for large race meetings such as Nationals.
This is my sons favourite place really good fun with a scate Park next door
Such a cool sport that the whole family can get into. Such an awesome supportive and family orientated experience
Great facility and track, the better and faster riders are careful and safe with the learner, slower riders-kids on the track.
Bit confused what the legit way to access this track is – most people just jump the fence. Well maintained with areas to ride on for all levels.
Well maintained BMX track, open to the public to ride anytime except when events or training are running. The fence or chain are only there to keep motorized vehicles out. Do not ride if wet, as it degrades the track. Mountain raiders are run by friendly helpful volunteers.
A great little BMX track for all ages! An awesome beginners track for any age to start out on. We really enjoy this facility. Highly recommend.
Young or old… You’ll meet great people at mountain raiders! Amazing track to start your little adventurers at. We’re here all the time and they have lights!
My son loves it here and he wants to come again..Located in Pakuranga, well maintain, clean and suitable for all ages.
